#StuckOnReplay Presents: #AmendXlll

  • Dudley Dough 2302 Washington St. Roxbury MA, 02119

On Apr. 8th 1864, The Senate passed the 13th Amendment. On Jan. 31st 1865, The House of Representatives passed the 13th Amendment. 152 years later and we are still living by the 13th Amendment of the constitution.

Since then, Douglas A. Blackmon wrote a book called "Slavery by another name" in 2008. Michelle Alexander, in 2010 brought us "The New Jim Crow". Ava DuVernay showed us some of the histories behind the 13th Amendment through her documentary called "13th" in 2016. So now what?

On Saturday, Feb. 18th #StuckOnReplay would like to invite you to join us as we launch and plan for our 2-year State-wide campaign and petition to #AmendXlll.

Free T-Shirts, Spoken Word Artist, Group Discussion, Community Building,  and a 100 Day Action Step Plan

Here is the constitutional amendment process: The Constitution provides that an amendment may be proposed either by the Congress with a two-thirds majority vote in both the House of Representatives and the Senate or by a constitutional convention called for by two-thirds of the State legislatures.

We need your help in building a thunderbolt movement to #AmendXlll and the right place to start is here in Massachusetts. Especially, when we have a Sheriff from Bristol who has offered inmates to build Trump’s Mexico wall...FOR FREE.

#JoinUs as we plan to STOP #InmateLabor, #PrivatePrisons, and STOP companies from getting #RichOffPunishment, #BlackAndBrownBodies and its time for us STOP being #StuckOnReplay and do something about it!

Get your tickets now, space is limited, it's a free event and the tickets will go fast. We look forward to seeing you there.
